As most of you know, if your building is 10years or older on June 1, 2011, you must submit an energy rating for yourbuilding by that date to be in compliance with the City of Austin's ECAD-Energy Conservation Audit and Disclosure Ordinance (see link below). Ifyour building is less than 10 years old on that date, a rating must besubmitted by the10th anniversary of its construction.

Note that this ordinance applies to your buildings, including portables, thatare served by Austin Energy and are located within the city limits of Austin.
Austin Energy has partnered with ACC to offerfree training on how to use the tools needed to rate your building andto submit your building's energy use per the ordinance (see enclosed detailsand registration material). Future courses will be added monthly throughMay 2011. Visit http://www.austincc.edu/ce/schedule as updates for futuredates and times are established.

Below is a link to Energy Star web based training. Follow the linkand then hit the tab "upcoming" and the schedule through Decembershould be available. There are different training classes shown that relate tothe type of business or building involved e. g. office buildings, schools, etc.
